Jugnoo celebrates 'Earth Day' with awareness run in partnership with Treezing
The high speed winds and dusty weather didn't deter the spirits of young and old alike who turned up in full force this morning at Sukhna Lake to participate in an 'Earth Day Awareness Run'.
The event was organised by Jugnoo as part of its ‘Earth Day’ celebrations in Chandigarh, held in association with Treezing, an organization focused on creating environment awareness.
The event started at 7 am at Sukhna Lake where people participated in a 2 km and 5 km run. Registrations for the event were done online as well as at the venue. Jugnoo is also running another campaign for tree plantation by selling eco-friendly T-shirts and planting a tree against every T-shirt sold. The participants were given a certificate and geo-tracking code of the tree planted on behalf of them. The event received a good response and volunteers on ground spread the message of protecting the environment.
