After Gurugram launch in May 2026, Chandigarh second launchpad for Aaghaaz by Oasis Group
Group’s signature premium blended whisky All Season ‘serr e taj’ already the fastest growing brand, with sales exceeding 25 million cases across the country
Eagerness, expectancy and high spirits! That about perfectly summed up the atmosphere in the lawns of the Chandigarh Golf Club in Sector 6 on a windy late evening, Saturday. A stage, a large screen streaming a motion picture of a massive tiger ambling across and then shifting its gaze and letting out a thundering roar at the choc a bloc gathering.
The occasion was the Chandigarh launch of an artisan whisky single malt in the peak festive season. After the first launch of Aaghaaz (literally meaning beginning) in Gurugram in May this year, Indian liquor and spirits conglomerate Oasis Group chose the city of VIPs as its second launchpad.
“Chandigarh has always been a prime market for us in Oasis Group. Our signature brand All Seasons ‘serr e taj’, a premium blended whisky, had its maiden launch in the city. It is now the fastest growing brand in the country, with sales exceeding 25 million cases,” gushed Gauravh Malhotra, one of the group directors and elder son of group Chairman and Managing Director Deep Malhotra, as he unveiled the bottle of Aaghaaz, marking the group’s wider premiumisation strategy and continuing expansion in India’s fast-growing luxury-spirits market.
Accompanying him at the unveiling was film producer Karaj Gill as special guest and the group’s North Sales Head Rahul Raheja.
Gauravh proudly informed the gathering that within months of its May launch in Gurugram, Aaghaaz has already achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first Indian single malt whisky to receive the prestigious Global Rising Star Award 2026.

The award was presented to him in July at the House of Lords (UK Parliament), London, by former Member of Parliament Paul Scully and British Indian businessman and Conservative Party politician Lord Rami Ranger, recognising the brand’s craftsmanship, innovation, premium quality, and growing global presence.
“The recognition reflects the increasing global appreciation of Indian single malts and their ability to compete alongside some of the world’s most respected whisky brands.” Gauravh added.
The Chandigarh launch of Aaghaaz comes as the festive calendar brings people together for family gatherings, reunions and social celebrations.
