Four well known ophthalmologists from the region, Dr Sanjeev Duggal, Dr Manpreet Singh, Dr Kashish Gupta and Dr Sheetal Brar have joined hands to open an ultramodern, state-of-the-art eye hospital for the tricity and adjoining states in Sector 43 Chandigarh. Pro Sight Eye Hospital, promised as a fully integrated, innovation-driven gen-next eyecare facility, combining artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, SMART lasers, and precision diagnostics to deliver world-class treatments, was formally inaugurated on Sunday.
The honours were done by Dr SPS Oberoi, renowned philanthropist & Managing Trustee of Sharbat Da Bhalla Trust, and Dr. (Col) Rajinder Singh, a prominent social worker, reformer & educationist.
The hospital will cater to a whole range of eye conditions and diseases, including cataracts, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), retina, and glaucoma.
Leading clinician, researcher, eye surgeon, trainer and instructor Dr Sheetal Brar, Medical Director & Chief Surgeon at Pro Sight Eye Hospital Chandigarh, said the hospital will offer eye treatments grounded in global research and tailored to individual patient vision needs with proven research and clinical trials.
Specialising in advanced refractive and robotic cataract surgeries, having performed over 50,000 cataract surgeries, 10,000 laser and invasive vision-correcting procedures and trained more than 220 eye doctors from across the globe, Dr Sheetal further shared that robotic-assisted surgeries would have FLACS technology from Ziemer with enhanced precision in cataract removal and IOL implants.

The hospital promises affordable eye care with competitive pricing and compassionate personalised services. As a part of its CSR initiatives, Pro Sight also plans to host a series of free eye screening camps across the Chandigarh region through February and March with the purpose of early detection of preventable blindness.

Dr Sheetal Brar was added as director last year.
