The second stage of trial operations are set to begin from November 15, with domestic flights of some airlines, including Akasa and Indigo, taking off from the airport and landing back daily for a month, till December 15.

Arun Vir Singh, Chief Executive Officer, Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL), has been reported in the media as saying that after the monthlong second stage trials, the required data will be uploaded on the website of the Director General of Civil Aviation
(DGCA) before applying for aerodrome license, which is expected to be granted well in time for the full scale commercial operations from the airport to begin from April 17, 2025.

The authorities are expected to run 30 flights on the opening day – 25 domestic, three international flights, likely for Zurich, Singapore and Dubai, and two cargo flights.

The first stage of trial operations was completed with DGCA approving the airport’s flight calibrations after scrutinising reports relating to the runway, wind speed, etc.
