The International Schools Sports Organization (ISSO), which has been spearheading the development and promotion of sports in international curriculum schools across India affiliated with International Baccalaureate (IB), Cambridge, Edexcel, the US-based National School Boards Association (NSBA), etc, has received a further boost with the Adani International School, Ahmedabad extending its support to ISSO’s movement aimed at fostering athletic talent and cultivating a strong sports culture among its network schools.
Namrata Adani, Promoter of Adani International School, Ahmedabad has also joined the Advisory Board of ISSO which has operations spanning 430+ international curriculum schools, covering 22 sports disciplines, conducting more than 300+ tournaments annually, and impacting over 22,000 students.
Through this collaboration, Adani International School, Ahmedabad will support ISSO in scaling sporting infrastructure, enhancing athlete training and promoting participation in global events.
ISSO’s association with key national and international sports bodies such as the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) and the International School Sport Federation (ISF) has enabled Indian students to compete at the highest levels. Through its specialised wing, the International Board School Sports Organisation (IBSO), ISSO has helped thousands of students progress to elite events like the SGFI Nationals, Khelo India Games, the Subroto Cup and even the ISF World Championships.
It also organises its own annual ISSO National Games where member international curriculum schools compete in various sports disciplines. Students who excel in these games get to participate in national school games and get an opportunity to compete in international events.

According to a release, the Adani International School-ISSO collaboration brings a renewed focus on structured, transparent and professionally managed competitions that can also aid global university admissions through robust student-athlete profiling.
