Taking a positive view of the massive hit the hospitality industry has taken due to the pandemic, Dhawan asserted that hotel business is long term play, and Accor has a long term vision towards its business.
Pan India the occupancy has been on the upswing last few months and currently stands at roughly 60%, he said adding that Chandigarh and Goa have been bright spots amidst the lockdowns and restrictions. In Chandigarh, industry data shows that occupancy is upwards of 70%, room rents are robust and demand for rooms is growing, he added.
