India’s first brand to launch a 5G enabled smartphone, realme on Saturday unveiled its much anticipated first 5G smartphone in its number series - realme 8 5G, the country's first smartphone equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G processor, priced at Rs 14,999 (4GB+128GB) and Rs 16,999 (8GB+128GB). The first sale is scheduled on 28th April 12 Noon onwards on flipkart.com, realme.com and mainline channels.

realme customers have an added advantage of availing the brand’s exclusive upgrade programme for all its smartphones in the Rs 15,000-plus price range. The brand is  considering extending this upgrade programme to sub-Rs 15,000 smartphones, too.

realme also unveiled affordable 5G smartphones as part of its C series priced at between Rs 6,999-Rs 8,999.

realme 8 5G is claimed to be India’s first smartphone equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G processor with dual 5G dual standby. It features a 8.5mm super slim design, a 16.5cm (6.5") 90Hz Ultra Smooth Display, 5000mAh Massive Battery with smart 5G power saving mode, 48MP nightscape camera, and 16MP AI beauty selfie front camera.

realme 8 5G comes with a new Dynamic RAM Expansion Technology (DRE) that converts storage/ROM into virtual RAM to address the drawbacks caused by insufficient RAM and creates more memory.

New-Gen 5G Processor - India’s First MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G Processor

realme 8 5G is India's first smartphone to come with MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G Processor, which mixes two highly capable Arm Cortex-A76 cores in its octa-core CPU operating up to a speedy 2.2GHz. MediaTek Dimensity 700 uses the leading 7nm production processor, which is up to 28% more power-efficient than an equivalent 8nm process, allowing the MediaTek Dimensity 700 to use its high-performance processors while using power, extending battery life to keep the user connected for longer. The MediaTek Dimensity 700 brings a powerful GPU - Arm Mali-G57 MC2 with 950MHz clock speed and supports 90Hz high refresh rate screen technology.

MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G processor also supports 5G Dual SIM Dual Standby, letting the phone support 5G SIM cards online by 5G network. Besides, the processor supports SA/NSA and covers the mainstream 5G frequency band. It also consists of Advanced Dual Network Acceleration technology that can realize Wi-Fi and 5G network overlay.

Capable of producing 90 frames per second, the 90Hz display has a 50% higher refresh rate when compared to a conventional 60Hz display, resulting in a seamless and smooth visual experience with every swipe of the screen. realme 8 5G boasts an advanced 48MP Nightscape Camera, comprising a 48MP Ultra HD Main Camera, a B&W portrait lens, and a macro lens. The primary camera uses 48MP Ultra HD Main Camera and comes with an F1.8 aperture, 80° FOV, and 6P lens. It consists of professional HD lenses that can record ultra-clear scenes with specific photo details and double the overall texture. The camera also consists of a B & W Portrait lens which comes with the new colour filter system that enables the portrait lens to detect a more comprehensive array of light, assist the primary lens in capturing light better, enhance image contrast, create retro-style images, and add texture to portraits. The 4 cm Macro lens in the camera enables users to get closer and discover the beauty of the micro world with a 4cm shooting distance.

realme 8 5G also comes with a  16MP AI Beauty Selfie, the ultra-clear front camera has F2.0 aperture, supporting smart beauty mode, Bokeh Effect, etc. The smartphone features a brand-new beauty algorithm developed for different genders, different skin types, and facial shapes and features allowing users to take selfies that show natural skin.

The realme 8 5G camera also features Nightscape Mode that has many built in popular night filters; with the multi-frame synthesis engine technology. It helps take a set of photos with different light exposure simultaneously and then combines them into one. Besides maintaining a good exposure with highlight spots, this mode can also increase the light of the dark to make it clearer with more details.

Design

realme 8 5G is the thinnest 5G smartphone in the segment and comes with an 8.5mm super slim body, 185g super lightweight, and has a great feel in hand, delivering a comfortable experience.

Dynamic Speed Light Design
